China has pledged to deepen rural reforms and step up agricultural modernization, according to a statement issued after a central rural work conference which ended on Tuesday.
周二結(jié)束的中央農(nóng)村工作會(huì)議指出，中國(guó)將深化農(nóng)村改革，加快農(nóng)業(yè)現(xiàn)代化。
為期兩天的中央農(nóng)村工作會(huì)議（Central Conference on Rural Work）是黨的十八屆三中全會(huì)之后，中央召開的又一次重要會(huì)議。會(huì)議研究全面深化農(nóng)村改革（rural reform）、加快農(nóng)業(yè)現(xiàn)代化（agricultural modernization）步伐的重要政策；并指出中央出臺(tái)的“三農(nóng)”政策（policy on the countryside, agriculture and farmers）行之有效、深得民心，有效調(diào)動(dòng)了農(nóng)民積極性，有力推動(dòng)了農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村發(fā)展。
會(huì)議同時(shí)還從確保我國(guó)糧食安全（food security）、堅(jiān)持和完善農(nóng)村基本經(jīng)營(yíng)制度（the basic rural management system）、保障農(nóng)產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量和食品安全（agricultural product quality and food safety）、加強(qiáng)農(nóng)村社會(huì)管理（rural social administration）等方面，全面系統(tǒng)部署2014年和今后一個(gè)時(shí)期的農(nóng)業(yè)農(nóng)村工作。

The bowls of the Chinese, in any situation, must rest soundly in our own hands. Our bowls should be filled mainly with Chinese grain. Only when a country is basically self-sufficient in food, can it take the initiative in food security and grasp the overall situation for economic and social growth.
土地承包經(jīng)營(yíng)權(quán)主體同經(jīng)營(yíng)權(quán)主體發(fā)生分離，這是我國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)生產(chǎn)關(guān)系變化的新趨勢(shì)。
The subjects of the rights to contract for management will grow apart from the subjects of the rights to manage. This is the new trend for China's agricultural production relations.
