新華社北京5月31日電 在中國(guó)兒童中心成立40周年之際，中共中央總書(shū)記、國(guó)家主席、中央軍委主席習(xí)近平發(fā)來(lái)賀信，表示熱烈的祝賀，并在“六一”國(guó)際兒童節(jié)到來(lái)之際，代表黨中央向全國(guó)廣大少年兒童致以節(jié)日的祝賀，祝小朋友們學(xué)習(xí)進(jìn)步、快樂(lè)生活、茁壯成長(zhǎng)。

習(xí)近平在賀信中指出，40年來(lái)，中國(guó)兒童中心堅(jiān)守為黨育人、為國(guó)育才初心使命，落實(shí)立德樹(shù)人根本任務(wù)，服務(wù)廣大兒童，為培養(yǎng)社會(huì)主義事業(yè)建設(shè)者和接班人作出了積極貢獻(xiàn)。

習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，希望你們發(fā)揚(yáng)光榮傳統(tǒng)，團(tuán)結(jié)廣大兒童工作者，做兒童成長(zhǎng)的引路人、兒童權(quán)益的守護(hù)人、兒童未來(lái)的筑夢(mèng)人，用心用情促進(jìn)兒童健康成長(zhǎng)、全面發(fā)展。

中國(guó)兒童中心成立于1982年，是改革開(kāi)放后我國(guó)第一家國(guó)家級(jí)校外教育和兒童發(fā)展研究機(jī)構(gòu)。40年來(lái)，中國(guó)兒童中心各項(xiàng)事業(yè)蓬勃發(fā)展，累計(jì)有數(shù)億少年兒童參加中心組織開(kāi)展的各類活動(dòng)。

On the occasion marking the 40th anniversary of China National Children's Center, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, sent a congratulatory letter to extend his warm congratulations. Upon the arrival of the International Children's Day on June 1, Xi Jinping, on behalf of the Party Central Committee, extended festive greetings to all the children across the country, wishing them progress in study, happy lives, and healthy growth.

In his congratulatory letter, Xi pointed out that over the past four decades, remaining true to its original aspiration of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, the center has done a good job in undertaking its mission of cultivating virtuous children and providing services for children and thus has contributed to nurturing active participators in the socialist cause.

Xi said he hopes that the center will carry forward its glorious traditions, rally those who work for children's welfare, endeavor to become a guide for children's growth, a guardian for children's rights and interests, and a builder for children's future, and put heart and soul into the work for children's healthy growth and all-round development.

Founded in 1982, China National Children's Center was the first state-level research institution for afterschool education and children's development since the reform and opening up policy was implemented in the late 1970s. Over the past 40 years, the center has seen vigorous development in different undertakings, and hundreds of millions of children have participated in various activities organized by the center.
