目前，中國(guó)內(nèi)地爆發(fā)手足口病疫情的影響范圍正在擴(kuò)大，安徽、山西、貴州、河北、陜西、浙江、湖北、廣東、湖南、江西、江蘇、新疆、寧夏、云南、海南15個(gè)省(區(qū))以及北京、重慶2個(gè)直轄市相繼發(fā)現(xiàn)感染個(gè)案，感染人數(shù)增至近1.2萬(wàn)人，已造成28名兒童死亡。

The Ministry of Health warned that cases of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) will possibly increase in the following months since June and July are the peak seasons for the disease.
衛(wèi)生部發(fā)出預(yù)警信息表示，今后幾個(gè)月手足口病的發(fā)病數(shù)量將有所增加，6、7月份為該病高發(fā)期。
HFMD, characterized by fever, sores in the mouth and rashes on hands and feet, is not a new infection and is common among infants and children, experts say. It can be triggered by various viruses and usually does not lead to death.
專家表示，手足口病是嬰兒和兒童常見(jiàn)的一種疾病，典型的癥狀有：發(fā)熱，口腔潰瘍，以及手足皰疹等。有多種病毒可導(dǎo)致手足口病，一般不會(huì)致死。
該報(bào)道中，hand-foot-mouth disease 就是“手足口病”，英文報(bào)道中常用HFMD來(lái)簡(jiǎn)稱此病。與其相關(guān)的表達(dá)有：sores in the mouth（口腔潰瘍），rashes on hands and feet（手足皰疹），slight fever（低燒），blister（水泡）等， 相關(guān)英文報(bào)道中的mouth ulcers 也是“口腔潰瘍”的意思。
