美國(guó)總統(tǒng)奧巴馬8日發(fā)表農(nóng)歷蛇年賀詞，祝全球所有慶祝農(nóng)歷新年的人幸福安康。

奧巴馬說(shuō)，值此佳節(jié)之際，他與夫人米歇爾向所有慶祝農(nóng)歷新年的人送上最誠(chéng)摯的祝福，祝他們幸福安康。

奧巴馬在賀詞中說(shuō)，根據(jù)中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)，蛇代表著智慧和深思熟慮。他認(rèn)為，這一精神可以作為在新一年應(yīng)對(duì)各種挑戰(zhàn)的指導(dǎo)，也可以幫助美國(guó)民眾創(chuàng)造更為公正平等的未來(lái)。

Michelle and I send our warmest wishes to all those who will be celebrating the Lunar New Year this Sunday, February 10th. Here in America and around the world, people of Asian and Pacific Islander descent will welcome the Year of the Snake.

In Chinese tradition, the snake represents wisdom, and a thoughtful approach to tackling the challenges before us – principles that I hope will continue to guide us as we perfect our union and create a more just and equal future for every American. Our challenges may be great, but our diversity and the traditions that thrive here give us the strength to meet them. To everyone celebrating the Lunar New Year, I wish you peace, prosperity and good health and fortune.
