四頁(yè)紙，全中文，一筆一劃工工整整，而寫(xiě)下這封信的正是世界衛(wèi)生組織駐中國(guó)代表高力（Gauden Galea）。

On May 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) released a handwritten letter to middle school students in Wuhan City via its official Weibo account. The four-page, Chinese-language letter was written by Dr. Gauden Galea, the WHO representative in China.

高力的回信，還要從武漢學(xué)生寫(xiě)給他的一封信說(shuō)起：

5月5日，武漢市旭光學(xué)校的學(xué)生給世衛(wèi)組織駐中國(guó)代表高力寫(xiě)了一封信。

信里，學(xué)生們說(shuō)想把平時(shí)通過(guò)垃圾分類收集可回收物賣(mài)的錢(qián)，捐給世衛(wèi)組織。

他們還希望通過(guò)世衛(wèi)組織，呼吁全世界的青少年攜起手來(lái)，盡己所能，努力幫助需要幫助的人們。

The story begins with a letter from students at Xuguang Middle School in Wuhan.

Students sent a letter to Galea on May 5, calling on young people all around the world to join hands to help people in need.

高力在回信中寫(xiě)道，“謝謝你們溫暖的來(lái)信，在這艱難的時(shí)刻，能收到這樣貼心的禮物，讓我和世衛(wèi)組織駐華代表處的同事們都非常感動(dòng)。”

他說(shuō)，學(xué)生們的來(lái)信是希望和團(tuán)結(jié)的象征，而這正是當(dāng)前全球抗疫所迫切需要的。

"Thank you for your warm letter... Your letter is a symbol of the hope and solidarity the world so badly needs in its fight against this global pandemic," Galea wrote in his reply, which was posted on the WHO's Weibo account.

世衛(wèi)組織在微博中表示，“透過(guò)筆跡，我們深切感受到武漢的同學(xué)們對(duì)生活的熱愛(ài)，對(duì)全球疫情和全人類的關(guān)心。”

"Through the handwriting, we can feel the Wuhan students' love for life, their concern for the global pandemic and the entire human race," the WHO said on Weibo. "Every word in this letter has touched the hearts of the WHO representative in China, Dr. Gauden Galea, and all his colleagues in the WHO China office."

世衛(wèi)組織透露，這是高力醫(yī)生第一次被人稱為高力伯伯，他很喜歡這樣親切的稱呼。了解到信的內(nèi)容后，他就表示一定要親筆回信，而且堅(jiān)持要用中文。

According to the WHO, when Galea learned of the letter's content, he insisted that he reply in Chinese.

高力剛到中國(guó)兩年，雖然一直用業(yè)余時(shí)間學(xué)習(xí)中文，但用中文文字親手寫(xiě)信，在同事們看來(lái)，似乎仍然是一個(gè)“不可能完成的任務(wù)”。

Galea has been in China for two years. Although he has been learning Chinese in his spare time, writing an entire letter in Chinese seemed to be an impossible task to his colleagues.

然而，他做到了，他真的一個(gè)字一個(gè)字地，認(rèn)真地寫(xiě)完了這封四頁(yè)的回信。

However, he finished the four-page letter in earnest. A video posted on the WHO's Weibo account shows Galea, though not fully proficient in Chinese, writing down each Chinese character and signing his English name.

通過(guò)視頻可以看到，高力并非已經(jīng)熟練掌握中文書(shū)寫(xiě)，他對(duì)照打印好的信件，一筆一劃“照葫蘆畫(huà)瓢”，最后在“高力伯伯”的署名上，簽上自己的英文名。

看到高力這封誠(chéng)意滿滿的回信，網(wǎng)友們表示：如此工整，有心了！

據(jù)世衛(wèi)組織官網(wǎng)資料顯示，高力（Gauden Galea）于2018年5月起擔(dān)任世界衛(wèi)生組織駐華代表。

他1998年加入世衛(wèi)組織工作，曾在世衛(wèi)組織西太區(qū)馬尼拉、斐濟(jì)擔(dān)任非傳染性疾病高級(jí)顧問(wèn)，在日內(nèi)瓦世衛(wèi)總部擔(dān)任有關(guān)非傳染性疾病和健康促進(jìn)協(xié)調(diào)員。

Galea became the WHO's representative in China in May 2018, according to the WHO's website. He is a public health physician and has worked for the WHO since 1998. He previously held posts in Suva, the Western Pacific Regional Office in Manila, and at WHO headquarters in Geneva.

抗疫期間，高力受中國(guó)政府邀請(qǐng)視察了武漢，并且實(shí)地了解了武漢真實(shí)情況。

他面對(duì)中外媒體時(shí)，多次介紹了“武漢經(jīng)驗(yàn)”，對(duì)武漢和武漢人民做出的巨大犧牲表示衷心感謝，認(rèn)為武漢為全球健康情況做出了舉足輕重的貢獻(xiàn)。

During the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, Galea visited Wuhan at the invitation of the Chinese government and learned about the real situation there. In front of Chinese and foreign media, he discussed the experience Wuhan had gained fighting the virus many times, and expressed his sincere gratitude to Wuhan and its people for their great sacrifice, believing that the city had made a significant contribution to the global health situation.
