A Superman costume worn by the late Christopher Reeve will go under the hammer in Australia this month, auction house Bonhams and Goodman said yesterday.
Auctioneer Giles Moon said the costume, complete with the famous "S" logo, was being sold by an avid film buff who bought it in London five years ago.
He said it was expected to fetch Australian dollars 15,000-20,000 ($11,400-15,200 US) when it is auctioned on May 24.
"Superman costumes rarely appear on the market and are much sought after by collectors," Moon said. The outfit comes without boots and Superman's red cape. Reeve wore the leotard in the 1983 film Superman III, while the red trunks and yellow belt came from his debut as the Man of Steel in Superman The Movie in 1978.

姆恩說：“超人服裝在市場上很難見到，因此深受收藏家們的追捧?！边@套服裝未配靴子和超人的紅色披肩一同拍賣。這套緊身連衣褲是里弗在1983年的影片《超人3》中所穿，但紅色短褲和黃色腰帶則來自于他在1978年的《超人1》中首次亮相時(shí)的裝扮。當(dāng)時(shí)他在該片中飾演“鋼鐵戰(zhàn)士”。
