朱日和訓練基地（Zhurihe military training base）位于廣袤的蘇尼特草原，占地面積1000多平方公里，是亞洲最大的軍事訓練基地（the largest military training base in Asia），近年來多場重大軍事演訓活動和中外聯(lián)合軍演在這里舉行。

這是新中國成立后我軍首次以慶祝建軍節(jié)為主題的盛大閱兵（the first time that China commemorates the Army Day, which falls on Aug. 1, with a military parade since the founding of New China in 1949），受閱官兵列陣沙場，以戰(zhàn)斗姿態(tài)接受黨和人民的檢閱。

中共中央總書記、國家主席、中央軍委主席習近平乘坐野戰(zhàn)檢閱車依次檢閱了在演兵場整齊列隊的護旗方隊、地面作戰(zhàn)群和人員方陣。

檢閱過程中，習近平主席與戰(zhàn)士們互致問候：

“主席好！”（"Hail to you, chairman!"）

在習近平主席乘坐的野戰(zhàn)車緩緩駛回檢閱臺時，方陣的戰(zhàn)士們齊聲喊出口號：

隨后進行的閱兵分列式中，有護旗方隊（formation of flag guards）、紀念標識梯隊（helicopter echelon of celebration marks）和9個作戰(zhàn)群接受檢閱。

由陸軍（Army）、海軍（Navy）、空軍（Air Force）、火箭軍（Rocket Force）4個軍種官兵組成的護旗方隊，護衛(wèi)著中國共產(chǎn)黨黨旗、中華人民共和國國旗、中國人民解放軍軍旗。

紀念標識梯隊中，17架直升機組成“八一”標識，24架直升機繪出“90”字樣，象征著人民軍隊走過了90年光輝歷程。

    Nine decades ago, a gunshot heard from the city of Nanchang pronounced the birth of the new model of the people's army led by the Communist Party of China. In the past nine decades, the PLA has held high the banner of the Party, while rooted firmly on the ground of the nation. In carrying the aspirations of the Chinese people, they have fought bravely and shed blood, marched forward, triumphed over all enemies, tackled all difficulties in order to advance the dignity, prosperity and strength of the Chinese people.
